TechTalent to create 150 jobs in West Midlands

TechTalent, an AI-driven EdTech business, has announced it will be creating 150 new tech jobs in the West Midlands.

The 150 jobs will be created in collaboration with both small and large businesses operating across a range of sectors in the region. As it continues to build its strong working relationships with companies that have a need for tech skills in the region, TechTalent expects the first of the new roles to be confirmed imminently, with the full 150 jobs steadily rolled out in the coming months.

The organisation, which has offices in Birmingham and was a sponsor at the Birmingham Tech Awards 2022, will be working with businesses to create jobs through its Attract, Train and Deploy model.

This scalable model sees TechTalent handle the entire administrative process of recruiting and training individuals before placing them with businesses to meet their specific needs.

Having analysts and technology specialists employed by TechTalent means businesses can call on their services flexibly, whether they need tech expertise for a short bespoke project or for a long-term placement.

Janice Rae, TechTalent CEO and founder, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to announce we are creating 150 new skilled tech jobs in the West Midlands. We’re seeing huge industry demand for individuals with specialist skills across a range of tech disciplines and are in a perfect position to help meet this demand.
“Our Attract, Train and Deploy model allows us to adapt to meet the requirements of businesses across the region, providing them with the specialist tech talent they need to continue to grow.”

Through the TechTalent Academy, the organisation already has a substantial pool of specialists in cloud computing, cyber security, data science and software development available for placement – from entry-level to senior roles – at businesses across the West Midlands.

The Attract, Train, Deploy model will also be available to individuals in the region who have not developed through the Academy. All of the tech specialists who gain roles through this new model will receive job-specific training in advance of their placement, ensuring they are fully equipped to hit the ground running. Skills benchmarking at the outset will help inform TechTalent of what modules an individual should complete before they are deployed.

Neil Rami, CEO at the West Midlands Growth Company, said: “Last week, Birmingham Tech Week showcased our region’s status as a destination of choice for fast-growing tech businesses and the UK’s fastest-growing regional tech hub. Through its Attract, Train and Deploy model, TechTalent is playing a vital role in supporting the sector’s growth ambitions, making it faster and easier for businesses to secure the critical skills they need.”

Councillor Ian Ward, Leader of Birmingham City Council, commented: “By creating a strong and sustainable skills pipeline for local businesses, TechTalent is helping to take Birmingham’s tech sector to the next level, while bringing a valuable wave of jobs to the city. Their innovative training approach streamlines the recruitment process for leaders, enabling them to focus on value-add business activities. I look forward to seeing TechTalent’s continued growth in the city over the coming years.”
